Many youths in Buea experience major hurdles in their quest for international education because they lack adequate information about scholarships and the processes involved. Due to the limited resources, students are forced to seek scholarships as a way of financing their studies, however, they do not have the necessary information to help them in the various stages of the scholarships. Another issue is the absence of career guidance, which makes many students unclear about what courses are relevant to the scholarships or international employment.

Also, young people are often victims of scamming people and organizations that take advantage of their desire to learn in foreign universities, resulting in getting drained financially and then disappointed. Some do not know certain aspects about the fully funded scholarships, like the expected GPA or work experience when applying for a graduate program. These students never get a chance to receive the necessary guidance to consider a life changing opportunity.

Should this issue remain unresolved, many youths will be exploited and churned into scams for lack of education that could change their lives. Those who might be the potential leaders in the future and could contribute towards the development of their respective nations will be left in a loop of frustration with little or no chance at attaining quality education. Moreover, lack of guidance and knowledge will keep the gap between deserving students and the international levelled academic system.

In this regard, the GGTECH TRAVELS project can address these challenges by offering end-to-end scholarship application guide, career advice, and scholarship requirements for full scholarship grants. Education awareness campaigns and youth mentorship, are practices, which the project will implement to ensure that youths acquire the necessary tips and information that they require to pursue education of their dreams in foreign countries.
